Ralph Mouw (1919-2009) spent a little over two years in training in the United States and was commissioned as an Artillery Officer. In 1942, he deployed to England to prepare for the D-day invasion. Mouw came ashore on Utah Beach, Normandy, France and spent 140 straight days in combat status.
